Remaining optimistic

Sometimes, people wonder what's up with positive people--why are they so happy? They probably think that they have never gone through any tough times, their lives are in bubbles, that they got things handed to them.

Not always true. There are people like that who feel like they can only be given more, because that's what they're used to. And then whine when they don't get their way. Complain when there's a struggle and some effort involved. Then there are those who have gone through a lot but have, compared to others, been given just some, if not much, yet choose to smile, work hard, rest and recover sometime from setbacks to place things in perspective. Once they've done that, they're back to face things once again with a strong smile, conditioned with character.

So it all depends on the outlook. I don't resent people for being happy, I wonder why they are. And when I see it is genuine, as all good feelings are, it's encouraging. To me, that's wealth. Good character is wealth.

Tough times...despite them, we each gotta think that they can only get better.

I'm a Christian, but I'm not a stupid one.

So I'm not going to refute my faith, more like question it, challenge it, seek out answers, and make it stronger. The only things a closed mind breeds are hate, ignorance, and fear.

Snowpocalypse 2012

Silly name. But that's what they called it. It lasted for about a week. I hope it ended there.
